Meetings & Committees

The Turlock Downtown Property Owners Association has many opportunities for individual property and business owners to play an active role in downtown’s future.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of seven members representing downtown property and business owners. Meetings are the third Wednesday of the month and are open to the public. To serve on the board you must be 1) a property owner within the downtown business district or 2) a representative designated by eligible property owner to serve as member.

Promotions Committee

The Promotions Committee consists of various business owners and individuals with an interest to promote downtown through programs and events. Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month and are open to the public. Programs and events are approved by the board of directors and are staff driven. Committee members serve as “block representatives” to spread the information to their neighboring businesses and as “volunteers” to assist staff in planning and implementation of programs and events.

Design & Economic Restructuring Committee

The Design & Economic Restructuring Committee brings together public and private entities to coordinate and make suggestions on design improvements, branding, business recruitment and retention and other issues crucial to creating a beautiful and healthy downtown business environment. The committee will serve in an advisory role to the Board of Directors. The committee will eventually be split into two separate groups with more focus on specific issues relating to design and downtown economic vitality.
